The Peoples Building is pleased to present “In Recognition or Your Riddles and Revolutions”, a solo exhibition of new abstract paintings by César Arredondo (b.1978)
His paintings are abstract works recreating and distilling the graffiti seen in a constant state of renewal and decay as the marks are created and either buffed or written over creating a living testament to the very human desire to be seen and to be known.
In these new paintings César Arredondo takes his exploration inwards in an attempt to better understand and create the language and vocabulary by which he can understand himself as an artist and speak to the those who would choose to listen.
